Rows Check-Out

Rows Check-Out is a Storage componet to avoid data editing conflicting.

Rows lock will have effect on the editability condition in Table and Input Form module. So if a row is lock by another User you cannot modify it.

To activate the feature, open the Storage Settings, go in the Storage Info section and Enable Exclusive & Lock Management option (1):

Disable Rows Lock

If you disable it, all rows will be unlocked:

If the option is enable, you will see in Table and Input Form module 4 different row status icon:

Icon Function Description
Unlocked There're no locks on the row
Locked Row is locked by the current User
Busy Row is locked by another User
In progress System tries to lock the row

In the Table module lock status is shown in the cell row option (near the gear icon).

Note

New added rows, by default, are always locked by the current User because any other Users can't lock unsaved new rows.

Automatic Lock / Unlock

When you try to edit a cell of an available row, system tries automatically to lock the row:

If the row is available the operation is successful:

When you save changes or delete it, system automatically unlock the row.

Manual Lock / Unlock

It's possible to lock manually a row clicking on the cell row option (1) and on Lock (2) button:

To unlock manually follow the same steps:

New window will be opened asking to confim the unlock operation:

Row Lock in Input Form module UI

In the Input Form module, the row status icon is in the tab of the module:

Unlock Rows

Storage Manager or Domain Admin Users can unlock rows locked by other Users.

This is a Storage feature, so they have to click on the context menu icon of the Storage (1) and then on Unlock Rows (2):

There will be the possibility to choose rows (1) and Unlock Selected (2) or Unlock All (3):
