How to Rename or Edit an Application

Required Permissions

This section requires the Application Management permission from your Domain's administrator.

Learn how to rename an application or edit its appearance in the Home.

Note

This section explains how to rename an application or change the icon and colors of the application's tile in the Home. It involves the Application Settings panel that differs from the Design Mode.

If you like to customize the application's features and configuration, please check the rest of the Design an Application in the Design Mode.

In the Home, click on the icon on the application tile.

If you are in Grid mode, the action is the same: click on the icon on the row corresponding to the application.
Click on the Settings option from the drop-down menu.

The action leads you to the Application Settings panel.
If you want to change the application's name, type the new name in the Name textbox.
Click on the Tile Theme tab in the left sidebar.
In Tile Theme, customize the appearance option you prefer. Configure the settings below as you prefer.
- (1) Tile Color Changes the color of the bottom of the tile.
- (2) Tile Icon Color Changes the color of the lower bar's icons.
- (3) Application Icon Opens a menu to choose an icon for the Application.
In the upper right corner of the editor:
- click on Save to save the changes without leaving.
- click on Save and Open to save the changes and launch the application.
- click on Save and Exit to save the changes and go back to the Home.
- click on Save and Design to save the changes and enter the Design Mode. Requires having the Application Designer permission to work.
- click on Exit to abort any change and exit.
Whatever you choose (exception made Exit), the changes will appear on the application's tile.
