Managing Rows' Errors

Sometimes errors could occur when you save the rows you have created or edited. (See Save Rows for more information about how to save rows.)

Note

Certain applications save each row through separated operations. Other applications saves all your rows in a single operation. This depends on the Designer's choice.

  • If the Designer has chosen to save all at once the rows, you must solve the issue before saving all the created or edited rows.
  • If the Designer has chosen to save each rows through a separated operation, the application saves the rows not having problems and leaves unsaved the rows with errors.

Learn how to access the Pending Errors panel to identify which rows are causing the errors and solve the issue.

Any application will highlight on the table which rows and cell cause the issue as follows.

If rows on the Master table cause the problem:

  • a red triangle highlights its Row Options in the upper-left corner.
  • a red triangle highlights the Master table tab's upper-left corner.
  • If a cell is causing the issue, the table highlights its border in red.

If rows on a Detail table (see What are the Details? for more information about Details) cause the problem:

  • a red triangle highlights the Master row's Row Options in the lower-right corner.
  • a red triangle highlights the involved Detail table's tab in the upper-left corner.
  • a red triangle highlights the Detail row's Row Options in the upper-left corner.

The applications help you identifying and revising all the errors through the Pending Errors panel.

Click on the Pending Errors icon in the top-bar. You will access a panel reporting all the rows encountering issues.

The Pending Errors panel displays all the rows and cells causing problems without scrolling through the table's pages. The top red bar will point the errors on the application's tables and their number.

Click on the red bar's navigation buttons ( ) to switch from one error to another and read its description. The action highlights also the cell causing the problem that is blocking the saving process.

Tip

Click on the Error button to reach the error described from whenever table your are navigating in the Pending Errors.

Click again on the Pending Errors button in the top-bar to exit and continue your work.

Tip

When you click on the Confirm Changes button () to save the changes and a notification warns about an issue, click on the icon on the notification.

Clicking on the icon leads to the table and row causing the notification's issue in the Pending Errors panel.
