Deploy, License, and Organization Type

eLegere is a platform designed to provide flexible solutions for a wide range of needs. It offers many components and configuration options that can be tailored to your environment during the initial setup. This document summarizes all the configuration choices available when purchasing and setting up eLegere for the first time.

This document will walk you through all the available configuration options during the initial setup. You'll find a summary table of all possible combinations at the end of the page.

Abstract

Deploy Type

When purchasing eLegere, you must install it on a Cloud infrastructure.

eLegere supports three deployment options:

  1. Shared Cloud: Cloud infrastructure owned and managed by Vesenda Srl.

    Instance installation and database traffic management are fully handled by Vesenda Srl.

  2. Dedicated Cloud: Third-party Cloud infrastructure of your choice, managed by Vesenda Srl.

    You can run eLegere on your preferred Cloud provider while Vesenda Srl takes care of everything.

  3. Private Cloud: Your own private Cloud infrastructure, managed directly by yourself.

    You can install eLegere on your private infrastructure, that you will manage directly.

Organization Type

Organizations are the containers of Workspaces and Users. Every Organization will be initially provided with a Common DB Service (10GB).

Based on your company's workflow you might need to enable different eLegere components or services on one or more Organizations.

eLegere offers two types of Organization:

  1. Starter : A Starter Organization provides all the basic eLegere features.

  2. Professional : A Professional Organization offers you many exclusive components in addition to the Starter features:

    • Advanced Applications, with advanced features and custom actions.
    • Mobile Apps.
    • Options to add new appliance Databases: Premium Appliance DB Service (32GB) and Enterprise Appliance DB Service (64GB).
    • Connection to your own Database with Private DB Connection Service.
    • Options to expand your data storage: Extra Appliance Data Storage (5GB) and Extra backup Storage (5GB).
    • Pay per Use Users accounts that will consume Pay per Use Credits to perform actions.

Warning

If you are using a Starter Organization you won't be able to add any extra Databases. Upgrade to a Professional Organization to expand your data storage.

Subscription Type and Licenses

Licenses are tokens used to activate features and services within your Organization. Each License has a defined lifespan; upon expiration, Delegates can renew or revoke them.

Before using eLegere, you must redeem a Core License. Your provider will supply a Core License Key that activates all core features and services.

Licenses you can redeem include:

  • Scale Set Nodes: redeem a license to enable data traffic distribution across multiple nodes for improved database performance.

  • Workspace: redeem a license for each Workspace in your Organization.

  • Premium Appliance DB Service (32GB): redeem a license to add the Database Service.

  • Enterprise Appliance DB Service (64GB): redeem a license to add the Database Service.
  • Extra Appliance Data Storage (5GB): redeem a license to add the Database Service.

  • Extra Appliance Backup Storage (5GB): redeem a license to add the Database Service.

  • Advanced Application: redeem a license for each Advanced application slot in your Organization.

  • Basic Applications: redeem a license for each Basic application slot in your Organization.

  • Flat Interactive User: redeem a license for each User authorized to launch applications and perform unlimited actions.

  • Flat Viewer User: redeem a license for each User authorized to launch applications in read-only mode.

  • Pay Per Use Credits: redeem a license and purchase Credits that Pay per Use Users can spend to perform actions.
